Gina Brown is the Director of Let Us Learn, a non-profit organization promoting self-care, sustainability, and learning through community development. She envisions a culture where community bonds are strengthened over shared life skills and individuals such as chefs, artisans, and mentors educate and inspire underserved citizens, particularly children. These dynamic connections make a world of difference to participants of Let Us Learn's programs, as well as the mentors and educators that volunteer their time and pass along their knowledge.
In Gina's class "Urban Gardening and Eating Home Grown for Health" she'll discuss the benefits of growing your own food to improve health and well being and will show you few common plants or herbs that can sustain in limited space or if . you're in an urban environment, using containers or small raised bed gardens. Using some of the vegetables grown in her children's gardening program she will also show you how prepare an easy recipe so you can fully enjoy your harvest. . "Plant, nurture, watch, and celebrate!" Good advice for more than just gardening, but I'll get she knows that. http://www.letuslearninc.org/
