Wild Roots is a specialty cut flower farm and floral design studio located in the charming town of Danville, Kentucky, owned and operated by Alexis Sheffield.
Alexis’ love of flowers began in a floral design class while pursuing her horticulture degree. Originally, she was primarily a wedding designer under the name Happily Ever After but her desire to grow and provide sustainably grown flowers to customers all around Kentucky grew to become her main focus. The wedding business evolved from strictly floral design into what is now; Wild Roots; both farmer and florist!
Flowers are often thought of as the “jewels of nature” and while they are beautiful, they are also so much more. In my class, you'll learn techniques for growing your own flowers in a manner that attracts beneficial insects, birds, and keeps your home beautiful year round.
We'll finish this class by making beautiful flower crowns using homegrown organic stunners donated by my good friend Anna Bynum of Bellaire Blooms. Her generosity will allow you to create a little take-home beauty that'll make you feel will like the nature goddess you are.
Please bring pruners or floral snips if you have a pair.
